mission statement
aspiring rockstars have their work cut out for them–passing out flyers, setting up gigs, dedicating every waking moment to their band. what if you had a little help, you know, that extra push that makes your musical escapades just a tad bit easier.

passed out promotions is a promotional agency hailing from the washington d.c./baltimore area dedicated to promoting the national underground punk/emo/hardcore/alt. rock (or any label you choose to give it)scene. anything from passed out promotions compilation cd’s, flyers, stickers, buttons, internet exposure, booking gigs, passed out pr sponsored shows, radio opportunities, print publication, duct taping record executives to their comfy black-leather chair and forcing your music into their ears–needless to say, we do it all. all because we love new music.

You know you’ve accomplished a lot when you have managed to run band with a big fan base destined to go places, get signed to a label that has seen the likes of Incubus, and put out a record with Michael “Elvis” Baskette (Incubus, Three Days Grace, Chevelle), all the while being 16-18 and trying to graduate from high school.

A Change of Pace are a post hardcore/punk/rock band out of Peoria, Arizona. While I know that all of you are thinking, this foursome are only a bunch of teenagers who are still in high school, they possibly cannot be any good. WRONG. A Change of Pace are finally here having released their debut album, An Offer You Can’t Refuse with Immortal Records.

Although it’s hard to classify and place any band into any genre, ACOP makes it twice as difficult, as they fuse pop punk, hard rock, and hardcore all in the same album and still some how manage to kick your face in. “Loose Lips Sink Ships” is a great introduction song as it starts off with a music box playing and whispering in the background, then the guitars and drums kick in before a terrorizing scream of “So I made you lie!” sets the pace for the song and album. Although “Loose Lips…” is a great song, Track 4 entitled “Asleep At The Wheel”, may be the best song on “An Offer You Can’t Refuse”. The reason why this song is so powerful, is not only because of the hardcore breakdowns, the screaming, and the fast paced drums that would make any one person get up and start throwing down, but the lyrics are a powerhouse in itself alone.
